Emily is an illustrator and exhibiting artist with a love for the gentle and the uncanny. Using the visual image to bring the often-lost natural world back into people's daily lives, her work is driven by a curiosity for ethology and explores the similarities and differences between our species and others. The resulting illustrations juxtapose figures, flesh and fungi, creating creatures that entice confrontation while keeping their sense of innocent vulnerability.
Based in Melbourne, Australia.
I am available* for freelance illustration, visualisation, book and editorial illustration, character design, concept art, textile design and pet portraiture. If you have a job or a project in mind, I'd love to hear from you!
